MEMORIAL TO OFFICER DAVE CAMPBELL

Again this year there will be "Special Chief's" Awards given to the Fastest Male and Fastest Female teams in honor of Officer Dave Campbell at the Wolfgang

Freitag Memorial 2-Person TTT on Aug. 10, 2008

Officer Dave Campbell lost his valiant battle to cancer on Mon., Jan. 29, 2007. He was a part-time officer for Herscher and a former lieutenant with the

Kankakee County auxiliary police. There was a Full Police Event with officers from State, County Auxiliary and, of course, Herscher P.D. at his funeral.

Midwest Masters Cycling Team remembers Officer Dave as "The Chief." He headed up a group of off-duty Herscher Police officers to control traffic and

provide safety for our 2-Person TTT held near Herscher. He said he looked forward every year to our event held in July. In 2006 he was not able to work

our event and MMCT presented Officer Dave with a special cap embroidered with "Chief."
